Laura Mack lived and worked in Russia during the fast-paced and dynamic nineties. Predominantly working in the FMCG industry, she was successful at helping to bring Tyson, Sara Lee, Hershey's, Budweiser, Remy Martin, Finlandia and Jack Daniels into the market and growing brand recognition.

Through her work in sales and marketing, she traveled throughout Russia and developed the larger markets of Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as a variety of other important cities throughout the country, offering trainings, seminars and workshops to wholesale and retail customers as well as end-users.

Since 2000, Laura has been consulting in the former Soviet Republics, including Georgia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan (see ACDI/VOCA), enabling small and medium sized businesses to develop key business skills in strategic planning, market research, sales, and customer service. Her work has been developed across numerous industries, including construction, household products, textiles, as well as food and beverages.

From 1999 to 2005, Laura worked in the Bay Area in California, first in public education in Oakland and then as an independent consultant in marketing, strategic planning and events. She developed a series of events in the cycling industry as well as exhibited a series of documentary photography from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Russia.

A native of the East Coast and an alumna of the University of Pennsylvania, Laura now resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she has been working at the Wharton School in Alumni Affairs and Development for five years. As the key liaison for nearly 80 global Wharton Alumni Clubs, Laura builds strategic relationships for leveraging brand recognition for Wharton throughout the globe. Hosting an annual Global Clubs leadership conference and managing the content for the on line club resource, she continues to find ways to share best practices across the club network and re-define the Alumni volunteer-School relationship.

However, she remains actively interested in maintaining key contact with Russia and tries to return regularly.

In addition to her business services, Laura has created photographic presentations on the places she has visited and worked. These include Moscow, Siberia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and the Republic of Georgia. An extensive sampling of this work can be found on this website.

In her free time, Laura continues to cycle the beautiful hills and back roads of Chester County, tend to a courtyard garden that surrounds her home in the backside of an 18th century barn, and spend time with friends and family.
