The Grizzly Peak Cyclists is a local, Bay Area bike club that holds a once a year century in the East Bay Hills in early May. With over 450 members from the Peninsula to Marin and over into the East Bay, members can host any bike ride they want at any time and any place. No particular meeting point is listed, but rather, a variety of short, medium, long, easy and challenging rides fill the monthly calendar, available on the web. Membership is cheap at $15 a year and includes delivery of a monthly newsletter.
Each month, the GPC hosts a potluck with a 1 hour meeting and a fantastic program. Past programs have included slide shows, bike maintenance workshops, touring in Europe presentations, Bike Advocacy panels and much more. Meetings and programs are open to anyone and everyone.
I will be posting future presentations on this page. Please feel free to e-mail me for more information.
Monthly meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month at the Hillside Club.
Next meeting: March 16, 2005 6:30 potluck, 7:30 meeting, 8:15 program
